No, that's not a typo up there. A ministry is and has been growing in Brooklyn ever since 1998, when it was founded by Paradox (of the group formerly known as Partners In Poetry). After existing on the underground hip hop scene for a good while, Paradox was confronted by God and had no choice but to respond. He, along with the rest of the Getgospel cast (www.getgospel.com) have made it their business to bring the gospel to the world of the Love and True Passion of Christ. Unfortunately, being founded in the Big Apple, a place where gospel isn't well received (let alone Gospel Hip Hop), the crew didn't become discouraged, but more determined. And after performing together in various states, have only recently realized how known they are becoming, even though they are still relatively unknown back home, except for friends and church family. Within GetGospel lies a plethora of talent ranging from MC's and DJ's, to Video production (www.yahahamedia.com) and Music production (www.jahrockn.com).I made my choice to join GetGospel late last year, and being a GG rookie, I felt it was important to share this powerful ministry with the world. There's nothing more fulfilling than performing at a concert with other Gospel MC's and then receiving comments such as, "YO, man, I was gonna end my life today for real, but y'all gave me reason to go on."
