ROOTS

When talking about where it started from the roots/
Historically archived to show what it really took/
Where there are bare essential/
Thats when God brings it to its full potential/
Ironically, this didnt start from dedication to rap/
But its what I did to escape this surrounding's mental trap/
Where I was at/
The place in my life where I sat/
Said that I wouldnt survive according to the stat/
That's why many times I don't call myself a poet/
For what I was doing was expressing just how I know it/
Had to harvest everything in my ark like Noah/
Traveling, journeying to but may never make it/
To the promised land like MLK and Moses/
Yet still have to lead as out of Egypt/
Flee from Pharaoh/
To escape the captivity effects/
Of the wondering in the wilderness/
God brought me out/
So I must stay on this trail/
For if I fail/
I will be in the place of wondering 40 days\40 nights drought/
This style I do is to keep my sanity/
So not to be cursed like profanity/
Im hoping this becomes a language of peace/
So unity began and hatredation cease/
When started, it was just to keep me sane/
But now it's a mission to enforce intelligenece and wisdom to reign/
In Jesus name Im victorious therefore I will win/
So let God work is just the main theme in my style thats within/
This is what I do for like Kim Rutherford God has the last say so/
God told me to do this flo/
For the Holy Spirit flow like the Nile/
So it can be archived in history for a while/
This is the roots origin/
As God begin/
Like the resurrection of Christ/
This shall rise/
I in Christ and Christ in me/
This is my resurrection/
To rise above this land's oppression/
To be free/
Is to be what God ordains me to be/
So His enlightenment can continue through me/
And all other successors/
That commenced through the ancestors/
