Hello there family in the faith,

As i prepare to record my original solo debut, i have some questions. Over the years i have been known too
drop mixtapes using the artform of cover songs / parodies as a part of my marketing and promotional strategy.
I have often been crucified for what was called my unoriginal and unskillful display of ministry, mainly in
part due to my use of what some refer too as secular instrumentals.

After several conversations with different people in the faith including, Lecrae, Dillon Chase and most recently
Flame, i would like to hear your opinions on this concept.

With my debut album i am planning on displaying all original concepts of course, however it will be split up
into 2 parts. A singing part (like 6-7 songs) and a rap part (5-6 songs). Here is the dilemma, what i planned
on doing is similar to what B.B jay and G. Reality did. I have a natural gift too sound like certain cats so
on some of the songs, i would intentionally deliver the good news of Jesus on all original beats and concepts
however using the vocal tone of another artist.

example : i have a track called thats ludacris, where my vocal tone and rap style sounds exactly like ludacris,
the beat sounds like a beat ludacris would use, and the song is about the different reasons people say they
dont believe in Jesus with the response of Thats ludacris.

Now, before i get the comments pertaining too originality, i've done the research so i know that this what i am
doing has not been done. Yes, you've had rappers sound similar to one artist example B.B jay (notorious big)
G reality (2pac) Da truth (jay-z) but no one has done an album sounding like 7-8 different people. Listening to
some of the music i've done so far, it sounds more like a compilation of different artist then anything. And again
the entire album is not like this, because i have songs on the album where i sound just like myself (example:
the first verse on the song i will from the ghostwriters album).

What is your opinion?

Also regardless on which direction the album goes, i am currently looking for yearly events that you may be aware
of that i can submit to perform at,because i will be promoting like crazy this year leading up too the album (example)
flavor fest, etc ... if you have any information and contact info, i'd love to have it. Either respond here or emailing me
at apaulsoul@yahoo.com ... thanks again .
